Artistically active in Vietnam from the mid-1990s, and based in Ho Chi Minh City from 2001–2015, Sue Hajdu’s creative career has encompassed visual art, curation, photography, writing, and translation. In 2005, she co-founded a little blah blah (albb), a pioneering artists’ initiative that over the following six years presented a lively program of projects, events, talks, exhibitions, residencies, and an open archive and reading room.
This publication documents Sue Hajdu’s 2006 nightview installation and performances MAGMA | We’re not counting sheep, at Galerie Quynh : every night, for 12 nights, visitors and passersby could watch two performers sleeping in an opulent and seductive red room, viewable from the gallery’s street window.
Featuring photographs by Ngo Dinh Truc; and an essay by Motoko Uda, curator and art writer.
This catalogue is a joint publication by Galerie Quynh and a little blah blah, published after the exhibition MAGMA | We’re not counting sheep, presented from August 26 to May 7, 2006, at Galerie Quynh, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
