One Planet

Nguyen Manh Hung
Nguyen Manh Hung (b.1976, Hanoi) is known for his satirical and sharply observant works that examine social structures, urban development and the contradictions of contemporary Vietnamese society. Drawing from personal memory and collective history, his practice often reflects on community, conflict and the absurdities of human behavior through painting, sculpture and installation.

One Planet features sculptural installations and paintings from the series We’ve Been Here, through which the artist explores ideas of civic life, shared responsibility and the evolving realities of modern Vietnam with his characteristic irony and humor.

Presented in collaboration with Galerie Quynh, Manzi Art Space and Hanoi Grapevine, One Planet was supported by the Prince Claus Fund for Culture & Development. The publication also includes a text by Arlette Quynh-Anh Tran.
