Pham Minh Hieu participated in the Vietnam Pavilion of the 15th Gwangju Biennale Pavilion, presenting The Laboratory for Experimental (Meta)physics (Room 5) as part of the international exhibition programme accompanying the Biennale.
Through his ongoing The Laboratory for Experimental (Meta)physics series, Pham explores the intersections between scientific systems, speculative thought, memory, and material transformation. In (Room 5), the artist continues his investigation into the relationship between physical structures and metaphysical inquiry, constructing environments where conceptual, emotional, and spatial experiences converge.
Presented within the wider context of the Gwangju Biennale Pavilion, the Vietnam Pavilion brought together contemporary artistic practices from across Vietnam through interdisciplinary approaches spanning installation, research, sound, sculpture, and experimental forms of display.
