Hà Mạnh Thắng
Ha Manh Thang (b.1980, Thai Nguyen province) is known for paintings that explore the intersections of history, cultural heritage and contemporary life in Vietnam. Since 2016, his ongoing series The Circle of Time has shifted toward abstraction, drawing inspiration from antique objects, landscape, poetry and reflections on time, memory and materiality.

This publication surveys works produced between 2004 and 2017, tracing the evolution of the artist’s practice from figurative social commentary to meditative abstract compositions. The book also includes excerpts from an interview with curator Natalia Kraevskaia discussing the origins and development of The Circle of Time series.
