Vy Trinh (b.1996, Ho Chi Minh City) is part of a younger generation of artists in Vietnam whose practice engages deeply with material, labor, and urban transformation. Working with found objects and industrial materials, she explores the embedded histories of use, movement, and care that shape everyday life.
Inspired by a motorcycle handbook, this publication delves into the artist’s practice and recent works presented in her first major solo exhibition, ON DA DREAM (2024), curated by Thai Ha at Galerie Quynh.
The publication features essays by Thai Ha, curator, writer and translator; Darius Sadighi, PhD candidate in the Department of Anthropology at Princeton University; and Wong Binghao (Bing), writer, editor and curator.
