Youth Palace Announcement, group exhibition curated by X Zhu Nowell at Rockbund Art Museum, Shanghai, China.
Pham Minh Hieu participated in Youth Palace at the Rockbund Art Museum, Shanghai, through Hanoi Children's Palace: Towards an Alternative Master Plan, a project developed by Van Do, Le Thuan Uyen, and Pham Minh Hieu.
Commissioned by the Rockbund Art Museum, the project builds upon Hanoi Children's Palace: Nostalgia for the Future (2024), reconfiguring selected works and materials from the earlier exhibition for presentation within Youth Palace.
Presented as part of the wider exhibition, the project examines the Children's Palace as a socialist educational institution and considers the legacies it has left behind, as well as how this model might be reinterpreted under contemporary conditions. Bringing together artworks, architectural models, archival materials, and texts, the project proposes an alternative framework through which to reflect on public space, collective experience, and cultural memory.
